Message	Off the lot it used 1qt per 1000 miles. I read in a popular mechanic magazine that Ford specs for oil consumption were 1qt. per 600 to 3000 miles. I use the car 16 years and 215,000 miles till a distracted immigrant hit it in the rear wile stopped at around 50 mph. Popped both doors open never to close again. I sympathize with your ordeal. Just use it and buy a case of pep boys 99c oil.
